SLA: Alternate Penalties in Disciplinary Proceedings

In the event that a licensee or permittee fails to submit payment for a civil penalty within the time provided by the SLA, an alternate penalty will be imposed as set out here. In all but one instance, failure to timely pay includes some period of suspension of the license. In the event that you are faced with an SLA fine that you know that you will not be able to pay timely, you should contact a lawyer proficient in SLA practices and procedures immediately. A proficient lawyer may successfully negotiate some extension of time or other reprieve from these penalties.
